Parity Remake - Film + Evaluation.

We filmed a remake of an example of student work that was also a thriller movie.
The film to be found on our group blog at Parity Shot For Shot Remake.

As a group, we got a very positive feedback from fellow students and our teacher on our remake. I set up and operated the camera, whereas Adam took care of props and Kieran of location and actors. I have also done the storyboard for the remake so that it was easier for us to shoot and not get confused between the shots as there is quite a lot of them, such as close ups, match on action, and high angle and low angle shots. There was a lot of things we had to think about when filming and they were the 180 degree rule and smoothness of continuity technique, which I think we kept clean and very simply done.

The sheets include the description of the shots and editing in a simple way
to help us shooting as well as the descriptions of the action that is meant to be performed by the actors in the clip.
Storyboard entirely done by Magdalena Lepkowska (Magg Lepkowska)

Reservoir Dogs - Title Sequence Remake.

The sequence is to be found on our group blog at: Reservoir Dogs - Opening Sequence Remake.
I think we filmed quite well however we had to cut down on the number of actors as none of them turned up, apart from four of men. We used local site to shoot the remake and we used title timeline to shoot and edit it properly but we could not make it accurately like the original regarding the low number of actors. However, I think we have done quite a good job. I was operating the camera and I edited the sound & speed of shots. My other group member edited the clips and got rid of any unimportant shots and organised the props. And another member of the group came up with location and the choice of actors.

Iconic Thriller Directors.

I have done research on iconic directors and their work to get some inspiration for my own thriller idea. I was very impressed and inspired by all three of them as they are trully iconic and most important of all directors of suspense films ever known. I hope this will help me to encourage myself to watch more thriller films and do maybe more research on thriller genre to get a good grip of what thrillers are and what do I need to make a good one.

Research on Iconic Thriller Soundtracks & Sounds.

I have done a research, looking into Iconic thriller soundtracks and sounds. I have used website such as youtube, my own knowledge and notes and refrences for things such as names of directors - Wikipedia and IMDb. I have then uploaded the research onto the Windows Movie Maker and added the sounds in to make my work presentable in a creative style that would interest the potential reader.

25 word Treatment.

I have done a research on "Treatment". And created my own based on the idea for thriller presented in the brainstorm I've created earlier on.

Brainstorm for the scenario number 2 - for the group Pitch.

This is my mindmap - brainstorm for the scenario number 2 - for 18-25 male audiences, referencing films such as The Usual Suspects and Seven.
